Welcome to my website! I'm very happy to have you here. I am a natural light photographer based in St Albans, Hertfordshire and my passion is photographing children and babies in their natural surroundings. I am very proud to be a Qualified member of The Guild of Photographers.
For as long as I can remember I've always had a camera and taken lots of photos. I got my first (film!) SLR in 2001 to go travelling with my then husband-to-be through SE Asia and Australia. We got married in 2004 and I upgraded to a DSLR. After we had our two children I wanted to capture every moment, and photography really started to develop into a passion for me .... my husband might say obsession! I'm a Canon girl through and through and last year I finally got my dream camera - a Canon 5D mark III!
Please have a look through my galleries. My style is unposed and natural - it has to be, my children don't pose for anything! Well maybe a Starburst or two (does anyone else still call them Opal Fruits??), but even that doesn't last long! I will never ever ask them to say cheese, I just want them to play, enjoy themselves and capture the moment. I might - just occasionally - ask them to stand still for a moment!! The rest of the time I just make sure I use a fast shutter speed! ;-)
I love photographing my beautiful children and documenting our family life and I would be honoured to capture special moments for you too. I don't have a studio; I work on location using the available natural light and surroundings.
If you would like me to come and photograph your family please contact me for further details. I would be thrilled to hear from you!

I love that second shot…..I don’t care that it is out of focus…it shows the true love/happiness of the moment!
So sweet – love the monthly self-portrait! You captured the moment beautifully!
I was so tired when I checked out your blog last night that I didn’t comment and I’m glad I came back.
Those photos of you and your son are just so sweet and I may have missed them otherwise.
When my kids were little it never occurred to us, in all the photos that we took, to try and include ourselves
Got here from CM, btw!
Sometimes the oof images are okay to keep. The moment that was captured is WAY more important than the “focus” of the image.
How lovely! I really love the second one… the emotions it captures are real, and for me, that’s what it’s all about!
I think these are so sweet. I really love the b&w with you two in the corner. Perfection!
Claire, these are precious and yes, you have learned!! Nothing messed up at al about these! x
