The theme for July’s CM monthly blog circle was “mobile phone”. I love the idea that “the best camera is the one that’s with you” as let’s face it, much as I try to, sometimes it’s just not possible to lug my heavy dslr everywhere I go. So this month was a great opportunity to just capture events as they unfolded (because it was certainly a busy month!) with my phone that is always – always! – with me! I have seen some amazing iphoneography, I have yet to capture such fantastic images with my phone, but I love that some of these moments I just wouldn’t have without my phone. Just a little thought about the light and the background and composition of your images can make such a difference to the end result so don’t give up on your camera phone!
So what was July for us? Well it was a month of birthdays, travelling, celebrations with good friends, HEAT! (very welcome new purchases of fan and paddling pool!), cooling down with rose, camping, winning awards at school and swimming, good results at eye checks and pirate days at school! It’s been a busy month and we’re ready for the holidays!

Claire, it looks like you were busy this month! Camping, dressup, birthday, swimming… I was glad to see that glass of wine and hope it helped you relax a little. 😉 My favorite shot is the bridge… the lines combined with the light make that something really special. Well done!
