Introduction

Claire Lane Photography takes your privacy very seriously. This privacy policy has been prepared in line with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which promotes fairness and transparency for all individuals in respect of their personal data. The Data we collect

We collect a variety of data in order to deliver our services, and we will manage your personal data transparently, fairly and securely. We collect the following data:

  • Names, Addresses and Contact Information of the person(s) placing an order
  • Names, Addresses and Contact Information of the person(s) using our services
  • Names (and in some cases ages and gender) of all participants of a photo shoot

We will record a date of birth for all persons we photograph under the age of 13 and require the parent or a legal guardian to consent to photography. Obviously being a photographic business we also create and manage images as per our contractual agreement(s).

How do we collect this data?

We collect the majority of this data from information provided by you upon completion of our Booking Form.  Occasionally we may obtain information by a third party if someone purchases a gift voucher for you – they will usually give us your name and details to enable us to process their order and provide our service to you.

Why do we collect this data?

We collect the data solely for the purpose of providing you with a service you have ordered, or had ordered for you.  We are required by law to collect and store certain information relating to any order you place with us.

How do we use this data?

Data collected will be used by Claire Lane Photography to enable us to provide our services to you.

Claire Lane Photography has a legitimate interest in using images taken in relation to your booking and may use these images (upon your expressed consent) in the following ways (you are free at any time to withdraw consent for use of these images):

  • On social media for promotion and advertising purposes
  • On our website for promotion and advertising purposes
  • For marketing materials (business cards etc)
  • For publications/ print

Who do we share this data with?

We take your privacy very seriously and we do not sell or share your data to third party organisations.

How will this affect you?

We collect, store and process your data in such a way that should have no negative effect on you as an individual.

How long is data stored?

We will archive your photographs indefinitely along with your relevant details and Booking Form. This is due to requests for replacement images being made several years after being taken.

Changes to our privacy policy and control

We may change this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will let you know by changing the date on this policy, notifying customers of only significant changes. By continuing to access or use our services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised privacy policy.
