As you may know I am a qualified member of The Guild of Professional Photographers and every month I enter images into their ‘Image of the Month’ competition.  The contest is judged by a highly respected panel of photographers across many genres and it is intended to be difficult to gain a Bar! It’s a great personal challenge to enter every month, which keeps me on my toes and constantly striving to improve.

With that said, I was delighted to win a Bronze Bar with 8 out of the 9 pictures I entered from my recent trip to South Africa, and to miss by just one point for the 9th!

Things have been hectic around here since we got back from our trip, and I am going to set aside some time to get the rest of my editing finished so I can share more very soon, but for now here are my award-winning images:
